Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Fraud & AML Platform
We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build Naiza, our fraud prevention and AML platform. You’ll work across backend services and customer-facing applications, make technical decisions, and take features from design through production.

What you’ll do
- Build and improve fraud detection, risk decisioning, AML screening, and investigation workflows.
- Develop backend APIs, data pipelines, and background processing services.
- Build clear, responsive dashboards for fraud analysts and operational teams.
- Improve security, performance, reliability, and data integrity across the platform.
- Work with product and engineering colleagues to shape solutions and prioritize improvements.
- Own delivery through testing, deployment, and verification in production.
- Identify problems and opportunities independently, and follow through on improvements.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years building and operating production backend services, including responsibility for technical design and architectural decisions.
- Hands-on experience building and operating fraud prevention systems in production is required, including fraud detection, transaction monitoring, risk decisioning, or fraud rules engines.
- An understanding of false positives, missed fraud, decision thresholds, and the trade-offs between detection and customer friction.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, with production NestJS experience preferred.
- Experience building highly available systems, including relational databases, caching, background processing, and concurrency.
- 2+ years building React applications, with Next.js experience preferred.
- Secure development experience, particularly tenant isolation, authentication, authorization, credential management, and sensitive-data handling.
- Strong testing and operational practices, including automated tests, monitoring, troubleshooting, and safe production releases.
- Ability to deliver across the stack, from database and API changes to dashboard functionality.
- You can take a problem without a detailed specification, investigate it, propose an approach, and deliver it. You ask focused questions when needed, make decisions within your responsibility, and flag blockers early rather than waiting for instructions.
- Clear communication and sound prioritization, with the ability to explain technical decisions and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to speak and understand both Arabic and English is required.
Additional experience we value
- AML/KYC, sanctions screening, watchlist management, and ongoing customer monitoring.
- Search and matching systems, including multilingual name matching.
- Device intelligence, behavioral signals, account takeover prevention, or payment fraud.
- Multi-tenant SaaS and regulated financial products.
- Cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD.
